Sustainable Mobility
ZEUS project, expired
in 2000, provided the introduction of low and no emission vehicles
and the realisation of activities for overcoming the market
limits through programmes able to create the optimum conditions
so that new transport solutions can be easily accepted by citizens.

From then on a lot of manufacturers
have developed low emission vehicles (LPG, methane, hydrogen,
hybrid, electric) for the mobility in the city centres.
Besides the emissions of houses and industries, it is
sure that the city traffic is one of the main causes
of the production of CO2 and other dangerous gases for
the environment and above all for the human health. Because
of this, people were obliged to close the traffic in
a lot of urban centres in certain periods of the week,
causing a lot of difficulties to those ones far from
the public lines. However, these traffic stops won’t
definitively solve the environmental problem if they
are not followed by:
